In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, visited the UK to deliver a speech at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to travel that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed speech I doubt I can make the flight we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a gulf air departing at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an excellent helper".

These exchanges were published on this week alongside over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets managed to confirm his involvement by cross-referencing the timeline, occurrences, and locations referenced.

For example, Epstein talks about arranging a jet from Scotland for the redacted user in the messages, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the talk at the Oxford on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of Trump's closest advisers in the run up to the presidential election and in the early days of his first administration, but resigned from the administration in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein before his death and allegedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his show recently, he stated: "We plan to publish the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times seeming to act like a aide.

A few days before the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r pretty good assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I will ensure you're well looked after."

British Affairs Mentioned in Exchanges

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in that year.

On the same day his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon texted Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this morning with Farage, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a reference to the UK prime minister, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he added: "The guys are trying to proceed. May soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view staying as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so others get the dedication of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May remain in power". Bannon answered: "I don't see how however the guys over here have no balls" and added "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up".

May was eventually removed in May 2019 after withstanding two votes of no confidence in December 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The US House of Representatives will vote soon on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its records concerning its investigation into Epstein, who died in prison in that year.

Attention in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was reignited recently after the publication of over 20,000 documents from his estate.

A portion of those referenced Trump, who has consistently rejected any wrongdoing. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested.
